Surgery and Laser Surgery

Dividing a tongue-tie (frenectomy) is a quick and simple procedure. Depending on the age of the child and the type of tongue-tie, we will discuss the treatment method appropriate for each case.

Frenectomy- The surgeon lifts the tongue and divides the frenulum by cutting it with a pair of round-ended sterile scissors.

Laser Frenectomy- Instead of using scissors, a diode laser is used to perform the procedure. Our team uses the latest generation of technology - The Epic™ X Laser, developed by Biolase.
